Daily Homework
Reception
Please read each day for 10 minutes and write what you have read in your child’s reading record. Books and reading records need to be in school every day please.
Year 1
Homework is given out weekly on Friday.
Homework must be completed and returned weekly by Thursday.
Reading – Reading 5 times a week for 15 minutes and recorded in Reading Record.
Spellings – Completed in homework book. Spelling quiz on a Friday.
Maths– Complete activities on Numbots website (not Times Table Rockstars) 3 times a week for 10 minutes each time.
Year 2
Homework will be handed out on a Friday and collected in a Thursday.
Reading - To be completed five times a week for at least 10 minutes and needs to be recorded in their reading records.
Spellings - To be completed in homework books where a sheet will be stuck in for them.
Maths- Numbots activities need to be completed online three times a week for ten minutes each time.
Year 3
Homework will be handed out on a Thursday or a Friday and is collected on a Thursday.
Reading- everyday if possible! Please read at least 3 times a week for about 20 minutes each time with reading records to be signed by an adult. Please also ensure your child’s books are in school every day. When your child finishes their reading book they will be able to complete an Accelerated Reader quiz.
Maths- Times table practice on Times Table Rockstars. Children will have set times tables they need to complete. This will come up when they log in.
Spelling - Children will have sheets stuck in their homework books each week.
In Year 3, if homework is not completed, children will need to stay in on a Friday lunch time to complete it.
Year 4 and 5
Homework will be handed out on a Thursday or a Friday and is collected on a Thursday.

Reading- Reading Records to be signed by an adult at least 3x a week.

Spelling - Optional Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 spellings
In Year 6, if homework (including reading) is not completed, children will need to stay in at break and/or lunch time to complete it. If a child is struggling with their homework, they should speak to their class teacher before Thursday.
Homework club is available for UKS2 on Wednesday lunchtimes
